ACN Voicemail allows callers to leave you a message when a call is not answered or if your telephone is switched off or out of range.
Each ACN mobile subscription comes with our voicemail service activated. You can de-activate ACN Voicemail via Min ACN online or by contacting our Customer Services department.
Setting-Up Your Voicemail
To set-up your mailbox simply dial 47471000 from your own mobile phone in Norway. You will then be prompted to define your voicemail PIN code and personalised greeting. You will be prompted to define these options until you have entered a personal greeting but not more than the first 3 times you access voicemail. If you choose not to record a personal greeting the standard greeting will be used. You can of course record a personalised greeting at a later date by selecting option 2 from the main menu.
Note! The number for voicemail (+47) 47471000 is conveniently programmed in your phone’s memory. Please be aware that you have to call from your own mobile phone in Norway to define your voicemail PIN code and personalised greeting.
Defining Your PIN:
Your PIN code should be an easy to remember code consisting of at least 4 digits. This code will enable you to access your mailbox when calling voicemail from a phone other than your own or when you are outside of Norway.
Tip! Simply use the PIN code for your mobile phone.
You can change your PIN code at anytime by selecting option 3 in the main menu.
Defining Your Greeting:
After entering your PIN, you will be asked to record your personal greeting. It is possible to record and save a personalised welcome greeting or use the standard welcome message. You can choose which greeting you would like callers to hear from the menu options.
Voicemail Guide
You can navigate your voicemail as follows:
- Press 0 for further help
- Press * to go back to the previous menu
- Simply hang up to end
Listening to Messages
When you call your voicemail you will be informed of how many messages you have. Your will then hear your messages starting with the most recent message received.
During playback of a voicemail message you are able to do the following at anytime:
- Press 4 to rewind a few seconds.
- Press 5 to pause for one minute. This pause can be cancelled by pressing any key on your phone.
- Press 6 to fast forward a few seconds.
- Press 7 then 7 again to go back to the previous message.
- Press 8 for information on the time the message was left and the caller.
- Press * to return to the main menu.
After you have listened to your first message you will hear the following options from the support menu:
- Press 1 to call the person who left the message
- Press 2 to go to the next message
- Press 3 to delete the message
- Press 7 to hear the message again
- Press 0 to return to the previous menu where you can rewind, pause and fast forward your messages, and get information on the time the message was left and the caller.
If you have defined a voicemail PIN code and call from another phone or from abroad, you will need to enter your PIN code to access your messages. Your messages will be saved for 7 days from the day the message was received. Messages that you have listened to will be saved for 3 days and then deleted.
Main Menu
When you press * to go back to the previous menu or have no messages you will hear the following main menu options:
- Activate/De-activate Support Menu
- Personal Greeting
- Change PIN Code
- Change Language
1 - Activate/De-activate Support Menu
By selecting this option you can choose whether you would like to hear these options every time you listen to a message.
- Press 1 to de-activate the support menu
- Press 2 to activate the support menu
- Press * to return to the main menu
2 – Personal Greeting
You can record a personalised greeting and change or listen to your currently used greeting by selecting this option.
- Press 1 to record a new personal greeting
- Press 2 to listen to the currently used greeting
- Press * to return to the main menu
If you choose to record a personal greeting it should be longer than 3 seconds but no longer than 1 minute.
3 - Voicemail PIN Code
After selecting this option you will be asked to enter your existing voicemail PIN code before entering a new one. Don’t forget to choose a PIN code that can easily be remembered.
Simply press * to return to the main menu at any time.
4 - Change Language
By selecting this option you can choose the language you would like your ACN Voicemail to operate in.
